Butterflies with rounded corners fit perfectly without the need for squaring up the corners of the routed recess (see step 5 of the installation instructions) .
Please note that as the size of the butterfly gets smaller (from 1.4” to 0.5”), the rounded corners have a greater effect on the overall shape as shown:
